GREAT FALLS, VA. (November 16, 2022) – American Artist Heidi Mraz made her official UK debut as one of the leading automotive artists invited to participate in the 2022 Art of Motoring exhibition, hosted by the Royal Automobile Club. This year marked the first time the historic Club has partnered with RM Sotheby’s to move the exhibition from Pall Mall to Sotheby’s Conduit Gallery on New Bond Street.

Heidi was also a featured artist the previous week at Sleeping with Art, an experiential, two-day event held at the breathtaking Hedsor House in the picturesque countryside of Buckinghamshire, west of London. The UK tour further underscores Heidi’s increasing acclaim as an important international artist and documentarian in the automotive world.

“There is a wonderful energy in the UK for historic automobiles and this same enthusiasm is reflected by the increasing interest in automotive art,” said Heidi Mraz. “My time in the UK was an extraordinary experience on so many levels. As a guest of the Royal Automobile Club, I enjoyed its great fellowship and enthusiasm for all things automotive. I was honored to share my artwork and car stories overseas, and look forward to more collaborations with the British collector car and arts communities in the future.”

The Art of Motoring exhibition, curated by Andrew Marriott and Rupert Whyte, kicked off the Royal Automobile Club’s London Motor Week. All of the artists were graciously welcomed by the Club’s esteemed Chairman Ben Cussons, its Motoring Committee Chairman Duncan Wiltshire and Head of Motoring Jeremy Vaughan. Honored by the exquisite English hospitality, Heidi was also a special guest throughout the week’s festivities and capped off her tour with a quick ride in a 1903 Autocar for the start of the 126th annual London to Brighton Veteran Car Run. Heidi’s hosts were kind enough to drive her through the famous Wellington Arch just outside Hyde Park, before she caught her flight back to the US.

Looking ahead to the new year, Heidi will be a VIP Judge at the Motorcar Cavalcade Concours d’Elegance January 14-15 in Miami, Florida, and in February, select pieces of her artwork will return to the Royal Automobile Club with the Guild of Motoring Artists exhibition. Heidi’s additional 2023 exhibits and unveilings will be announced in the coming months.
